Git as feature of Music Blocks
Because Music Blocks is licensed under the AGPL free/libre software license, the software’s source code must be made available to users.
As a task for the GCI contest, one of the students created a video to explain “git as a feature” for Music Blocks. “Git” is one way that users can make a copy of Music Blocks software onto their own computers. Watch the video, “Music Blocks Software on your Computer with Git” to see how this can be done.
Music Blocks software source code can be viewed at https://github.com/sugarlabs/musicblocks/ and its git repository is located at https://github.com/sugarlabs/musicblocks.git. Additionally, since their are no restrictions on copying, modifying, and redistributing Music Blocks software, you can find Music Blocks software many other locations on the Internet.
